WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Star Wars #14 by Charles Soule, Ramon Rosanas, Rachelle Rosenberg and VC's Clayton Cowles, on sale now.

Princess Leia is desperate to get Han Solo back. Ever since Han was trapped in carbonite, Leia has been doing everything in her power to find her lost love. With the Rebels' most recent mission to Nar Shaddaa failing, Leia has renewed hope in her hunt for Han Solo. She is now showing the lengths she is willing to go to not only retrieve the smuggler, but to make him comfortable in the process.

After Luke, Chewbacca and C-3PO returned from Nar Shaddaa, Leia informed them that she had received information on Han Solo's location. Leia received a report from Amilyn Holdo that Crimson Dawn had stolen Solo's carbonite slab from Boba Fett and was auctioning him off to the greatest powers in the galaxy. Leia decided that she needed to go to the auction to recover Han, so Chewie suggested they bring Lando along considering their past with the syndicate as seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Leia gathered Chewie, C-3PO and Lando aboard the Millennium Falcon before traveling to the auction's location. Leia explained to her team that she was going to pose as a wealthy royal and buy Han. Lando explained to Leia the dangers of dealing with the Dawn before they dropped out of hyperspace above the ships of almost every syndicate in the galaxy. As they went over the inner workings of Leia's plan, Lando brought up a crucial point -- the infamy of the Millennium Falcon.

Falcon with all the syndicates

Lando questioned Leia's choice of bringing the Falcon since the ship was immediately recognizable to a majority of the criminals represented at the auction. Leia claimed that she wanted Han to wake up from carbonite in a familiar environment. Lando was quick to let her know that sentiment has no place in a job like this. Lando is clearly in the right as the Falcon has had too many close calls with these groups in the past.

Leia had no idea who was actually attending the auction. She was only aware that Crimson Dawn was present, since they had sent out the invitation. Chewbacca and Lando had both explained to Leia their previous interactions with Crimson Dawn. The Kessel Run in Solo had been performed for Crimson Dawn with Qi'ra on board. They would most certainly be familiar with Han's ship and would recognize its arrival. Besides the Dawn, Leia should also have assumed the Hutts were present as they put the original bounty on Solo. Jabba is also quite familiar with the Falcon, as he was seen next to it in A New Hope. Lastly is the threat of the Empire. Leia knew that the most powerful forces would be present, and there is no greater power than the Empire. After their recent interactions, the Rebels would not be too keen to travel anywhere near potential Imperial forces.

Han Needs more COMFORT

Besides the fact that the mission would ultimately be too dangerous to bring the Falcon, Leia's reasoning of providing comfort to Han does not make much sense. Leia herself was frozen in carbonite back in Star Wars #4. Luke used the Force to release her from the carbonite and she hit the floor hard. She immediately jumped to her feet and confronted the stormtroopers. Her prior experience with carbonite should not lead her to believe that Han would come out needing comfort.

This also does not seem like the kind of thing Han would want. He is extremely protective of his ship and would never risk damaging it in exchange for a simple comfort that may not be needed. Leia will certainly have to explain herself to Han if he ever finds out about their adventure to rescue him from the most dangerous forces in the galaxy.
