After the events of the Star Wars Skywalker Saga sequel trilogy, Poe Dameron has an entire life left to live and an entire galaxy left to live it in. Even before his appearance in Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens, he had an entire interesting backstory that partially appears in Star Wars comic books.

The child of Shara Bey and Kes Dameron, Rebels who fought alongside Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo, Poe Dameron has led a dynamic life and continues to do so. If he were to appear in a show on Disney+, he could appear in one of many forms. He could have his own show, he could appear in the background of another show, or he could even make an appearance as a child. Whatever the case, fans definitely want to see more of Poe.

10 His Own Show

Most Star Wars fans are optimistic that Poe Dameron will eventually get a show of his own. With Disney’s announcements that a great deal of new Star Wars shows are on their way, it is beginning to look more and more likely that characters like Poe Dameron will get their own solo shows. As Ahsoka Tano gets her new series and Cassian Andor gets his new project fans hope that there will be a Poe or a Dameron show sooner rather than later. Oscar Isaac is a talented actor more than capable of carrying his own show; audiences are now looking to Disney and Star Wars to give him the chance.

9 A Rebel Pilots Show

One of the most exciting aspects of Poe Dameron’s character is that he’s a Rebel pilot. As The Force Awakens opens, the opening crawl describes Poe as Leia’s most daring pilot. Time and time again, Poe proves this to be true.

He even has his own Resistance team, called Black Squadron, which most often consists of Poe, Temmin “Snap” Wexley, Jessika Pava, L’ulo L’ampar, Karé Kun, and Oddy Muva. A show about a team of pilots, or a show specifically about the Black Squadron, would round out a Poe Dameron-specific show with enough enjoyable action for Disney+.

8 An Early Appearance On The Mandalorian

The Mandalorian Season 2

Though Poe Dameron would only be young at this point in the timeline of The Mandalorian, that does not mean he is incapable. He is the child of Shara Bey and Kes Dameron, both of whom are, presumably, still alive at this point in the Star Wars universe. Poe would probably be about seven years old at this point in The Mandalorian, meaning his mother will likely pass away in about a year. An appearance from former Rebels would be interesting on The Mandalorian and, if someone like Shara or Kes appeared, their seven-year-old son, Poe Dameron, likely wouldn’t be too far behind. Unfortunately, in this case, he wouldn’t be able to be played by Oscar Isaac, but this would likely only be a cameo appearance or an Easter egg anyway.

7 Training From Ahsoka Tano

Now that Ahsoka Tano is getting her own show in the form of Ahsoka, fans are expecting to see her interacting with several other pre-existing characters within the Star Wars universe. As Ahsoka was once the Jedi padawan of Anakin Skywalker, she already has close ties to the entire Skywalker family. Luke Skywalker, on one of the last missions that Kes and Shara went on, gave Shara a fragment of a Force-sensitive tree.

She planted this tree in her family’s yard on Yavin 4. Now, there are so few true Jedi left in the galaxy; Ahsoka may be drawn to that powerful living Force tree on Yavin 4, and she may appear to visit the Damerons and see what, exactly, is going on there.

6 Youthful Arrival In The Rangers Of The New Republic

The stories of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka will be converging in the crossover event show Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic. As this show would be set during the same timeline of The Mandalorian, it would also have to feature a young Poe Dameron, but the establishment of a New Republic would likely see the Dameron family not far behind. As Shara and Kes are so deeply involved in the Rebellion, and Shara finds it nearly impossible to stop fighting, the indication that a fight might be kicking up again would pull the family all the closer to the conflict. Poe didn’t get his fire from just anywhere, and a child Poe Dameron may even want to fight in a potential battle.

5 One Of The Visions

One of the upcoming Star Wars shows announced by Disney+ recently is Star Wars: Visions. This anthology show is going to be animated and anime-inspired, with animations from a variety of different Japanese animation studios. While it remains to be seen what these episodes will be about in this anthology series, one or more of them could potentially even be about Poe Dameron. If the series spins off any characters, Poe Dameron is an easy option, with a lot of great character stories. This would also make it a lot easier for Disney+ to make a show without needing to use Oscar Isaac, if he were unlikely to decide to continuously appear in a show.

4 Being Taught By Lando Calrissian

Like Ahsoka Tano and Cassian Andor, Lando Calrissian is getting his own show to Disney+. Lando, a new event series that soon will be coming to Disney’s streaming platform, will give viewers an even closer look at one of their favorite pilots. Lando has made multiple appearances throughout the Star Wars franchise recently, even appearing in the movie Solo, Han Solo’s own movie.

Like Han Solo, Lando is one of the best pilots in the galaxy and easily could have passed this knowledge on. Having a young Poe Dameron appear as a pilot being taught by Lando Calrissian would be interesting for fans seeking crossovers in Lando.

3 Appearing With BB-8 In A Droid Story

One of everyone’s new favorite characters in the Star Wars franchise isn’t even a person. The droid, BB-8, is a fan favorite, and audiences were drawn to him as soon as he appeared in Star Wars: Episode VII — The Force Awakens. This droid technically belongs to Poe Dameron, and the two of them are close buddies. Though Star Wars: A Droid Story will feature R2-D2 and C-3PO teaching a new droid the ropes, it wouldn’t be surprising for BB-8 to make an appearance amongst these other droids, as well. Where BB-8 is, Poe Dameron cannot be far behind.

2 An Animated Show (Like The New LEGO Holiday Special)

The newest addition to the Star Wars universe is The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special, which features an appearance from Poe Dameron. Voiced by Jake Green, Poe Dameron appears as a small brick version of his silver screen self in this humorous Christmas special. This special is available on Disney+, and many fans were pleasantly surprised at how much more enjoyable the show was compared to the original Star Wars holiday special. If Disney+ wanted to continue having Poe Dameron appear in a LEGO capacity, Jake Green could continue reprising his role through this brick animation.

1 Alongside Kylo Ren

an image of kylo ren and poe dameron combined

One of the most interesting background aspects of the Star Wars story is that Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron probably grew up knowing one another. Though they likely didn’t grow up side by side, Kylo Ren—then a young Ben Solo—is about the same age as Poe Dameron. Luke Skywalker, Ben’s uncle, and Leia Organa, Ben’s mother, are friends with Shara Bey and Kes Dameron, Poe’s parents. It’s possible that the two of them knew each other as children. If Disney+ is looking for an interesting plot to fuel a show, a conflict between two friends, raised together as one turns Dark and the other becomes a daring pilot, would be incredibly exciting for Star Wars fans and general audiences alike.
