Disney has a multitude of beloved characters from different franchises at its disposal. Any one of them has the potential to draw audiences in through character-focused television shows on the Disney+ streaming service. The Star Wars franchise alone has The Mandalorian and an upcoming Obi-Wan series to keep the franchise alive after Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker concludes the cinematic saga.

More than just financial opportunities for the House of Mouse, these shows also offer actors chances to continue building on successful roles. The substantial paychecks don't hurt either.

None of these perks seem to appeal to actor Oscar Isaac, who, when asked by Collider if he would appear in a Poe Dameron-focused Disney+ series, quickly and confidently said, "No." Even when his Episode IX co-star, Keri Russell, mentioned $3 million per episode, Isaac simply joked, "Cashing in my chips."

The two films that have featured Poe haven't explored his backstory as much as some fans would like. Dameron was established as a masterful Resistance pilot in The Force Awakens, while The Last Jedi expanded on his character as an occasionally reckless but undeniably passionate leader. However, huge aspects, such as his past, remain a mystery. The upcoming The Rise of Skywalker will reportedly change that.

Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Matt Smith, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. The film arrives on Dec. 20.
