A Disney+ executive may have revealed when Star Wars fans can expect to see the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

In a now-deleted tweet that was captured by a Reddit user, Disney Streaming Enterprise Program Manager Brandon San Giovanni seemed to suggest the series would premiere soon. Using Kenobi's iconic "Hello there" line, San Giovanni noted that "our very own Obi-Wan" would be on Disney+ in May.

May 4th is recognized as Star Wars Day due to how similar it sounds to "May the Force," so a May release would be fitting. However, a five-issue comic miniseries that focuses on Kenobi and different periods of his life is due for release in May, suggesting San Giovanni may have simply mixed up the TV series with the comic series. Before locking his Twitter and making his tweets private, San Giovanni claimed this was the case.

The long-awaited Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ series sees Ewan McGregor reprise the title role and return to a galaxy far, far away for the first time since 2005's Revenge of the Sith. Returning alongside McGregor is Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, and they'll be joined by numerous others, including The Fast &the Furious' Sung Kang in an as yet unknown role.

The reunion of McGregor and Christensen on set was an emotional one, according to Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. They starred together in both Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones, and the Jedi Master/Padawan relationship between their characters meant they shared a lot of screen time. Filming Obi-Wan Kenobi was not only the first time the pair had met in several years but also a chance for them to step back into characters that meant so much. "I was surprised at just how incredibly emotional it was for each of them to find themselves back in these roles, and just realizing how important Star Wars was to each of them," Kennedy recalled.

For Kang, being able to join the Star Wars galaxy was also emotional and important because he's a huge fan of the series. Kang recalled dressing in Star Wars costumes daily as a child, and he and his friends "would make our own lightsabers out of toilet paper centers and stuff like that and paper towel cardboard." He described nabbing a role in Star Wars and becoming part of the franchise as "pretty amazing," and Kang recalled his disbelief at handling a lightsaber. "I kept pinching myself to go, 'How did I end up here?'" he said.

Obi-Wan Kenobi has yet to receive a premiere date.
