When people think of Star Wars, they usually think of powerful Jedi battling it out with lightsabers and epic space battles. This is accurate, as those two things are hallmarks of the franchise, but it also discounts just how skilled the participants in those battles are. Even with the assist of the Force, the denizens of the Star Wars Universe have a variety of skills that keep them in the fight.

10 Rey Has A Wide Variety Of Skills

Rey in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Rey may not seem like a balanced character but anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong. Sure, in some ways, she's massively overpowered and one of the greatest Jedi in the Saga but that discounts just how skilled she is. She's an expert pilot and mechanic, able to work with a wide variety of ship types and problem solve with alacrity.

Her Force powers give her an extra dimension to her abilities and the oomph she needs to deal with her foes. Rey's balance of skills enabled her and the Resistance to overcome the obstacles the First Order put in their way and triumph.

Obi-Wan Kenobi was the jack-of-all-trades of the Republic Jedi Order. While he wasn't always the best Jedi, he did have a lot of skills that made him great in a variety of situations. He was skilled in the Force and his lightsaber skills were a good balance of offense and defense. He was a capable fleet and ground commander and while he lacked amazing piloting or mechanic skills, he was good enough at both to get by.

Obi-Wan's skills helped him survive the Clone Wars and the wilds of Tatooine, neither of which were easy feats. He was a legend everywhere he went, having survived some situations that were straight-up brutal.

7 Din Djarin Was One Of The Best Bounty Hunters Around

The Mandalorian Season 2

Din Djarin was always a good bounty hunter but once he got his beskar armor, he reached the next level. Djarin was a crack shot and a great pilot, with some great mechanical skills; he's had to rebuild his ship several times from just about scratch. He's also pretty handy in a fight, even able to use a beskar spear pretty well.

While the beskar armor helped him soak up damage like no one's business, he still has a lot of skills that would help him prosper without the ability to take a million blaster bolts. He's a cunning strategist and has more than earned his place at the top of the bounty hunting game.

6 Boba Fett Is The Best Of The Best

Boba Fett in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

Boba Fett's reputation as the most feared bounty hunter was earned. He grew up learning from his father Jango and after the elder Fett's death at the hands of Mace Windu, he was taught by other hunters, learning the ropes. Boba would put all of these skills together and become the best of the best, a bounty hunter even Darth Vader respected.

After surviving the Sarlaac, Boba Fett lived in the wilds of Tatooine for years, surviving on his own in that blasted landscape. He didn't lose a step, though, still able to use a Tusken gaffi stick to smash stormtrooper armor with ease.

It's hard to deny just how good of a soldier Poe Dameron was. While everyone points at his phenomenal piloting skills, there was more to him than that. He was a good planner when he needed to be, a skill that motivated Leia to groom him for leadership. He was an excellent shot and commanded the respect of his fellow pilots.

Poe was woefully underused in the Sequels, seeing as how they would become the Rey and Kylo show, but he was still amazingly skilled. Those abilities allowed him to become one of the Resistance's finest soldiers.

4 Luke Skywalker Made Everything Look Easy

He would bring all of those skills to the Rebellion and learn even more, while also growing in the Force.

The man was a great shot with a blaster and his performance at the Battles of Tanaab and Endor proved he was good at tactics and command in large scale engagements. He was even a great administrator, running Cloud City successfully for years.

Lando Calrissian had so many skills that it's not funny. He was amazing at just about everything he did and made it all look easy. The wide variety of things he could do made him an asset to any job or organization.

2 Han Solo Would Have Died Years Ago If It Wasn't For His Skills

Han Solo vs Greedo in Star Wars A New Hope

Han Solo messes up a lot but he somehow survived everything but reconciling with his son. He persevered for so long because of just how many skills he could bring to bear. He was an amazing pilot and gunner, great with a blaster, and, seeing as how he flew the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, was an expert mechanic.

His improvisational style meant that he was hard to get a bead on; he was known for doing everything but what his enemies expected. Add to that the vast repertoire of skills he brought to the table and it's no wonder Han Solo was a legend in his own time.

1 Leia Organa Was Low-Key The Galaxy's Greatest Hero

Leia

It's pretty much impossible to discount just how great at everything Leia was. Unlike a lot of other royalty, she was out there getting her hands dirty, working with the Rebellion from a young age. She became an Imperial Senator, was a pretty good pilot, knew her way around a ship, and was a fierce combatant. She was one of the Rebellion's top commanders, involved in many aspects of its leadership.

She'd learn to be a Jedi from her brother Luke and as commander of the Resistance ran a guerilla war against the First Order for years. Leia was the total package and proved it nearly every day of her life.
