If a new rumor is to be taken seriously, it seems Disney and Lucasfilm were working on a possible Star Wars spinoff movie centered on Mos Eisley.

Following a Collider report from earlier this week, rumors circulated that Lucasfilm and Disney were putting its Star Wars spin-off films on hold to focus on tentpole films, like next year’s Episode IX, to avoid a similar box office result to that of the financially underwhelming Solo: A Star Wars Story.

With those rumors debunked and more anthology films reportedly planned regardless, Making Star Wars is now reporting that one film is definitely on-hold: A spin-off movie about the Mos Eisley Spaceport.

The site reports that studio space at Pinewood Studios may have been cancelled, leaving some to think the rumored Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi films had been delayed indefinitely. This came as a shock following the recent news that James Mangold would be helming the Boba Fett flick, not to mention fan fervor regarding the potential return of Ewan McGregor to the role of Kenobi.

Sources at Pinewood said those cancellation rumblings weren’t about Boba Fett or Obi-Wan Kenobi, but a previously unheard of project, a solo film about the Mos Eisley Spaceport that would surely follow the ongoings of manning a high-traffic area in the diverse Star Wars universe.

This latest report indicates that the Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi films will still see the light of day, even if that means more risky Star Wars projects like Mos Eisley won’t make it out of the Sarlaac Pit alive. On top of those spinoffs, there’s the David Benioff and D.B. Weiss films to look forward to, in addition to director Rian Johnson’s trilogy.
