Marvel Studios President and Marvel Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige's Star Wars movie seemed to be moving forward with the addition of writer Michael Waldron. However, Feige himself isn't quite ready to discuss the mystery project.

"We’re thinking that we’re not — that is, um — everything you’ve heard about that has [been] leaked," Feige told Variety. "It’s not stuff that we’ve officially announced or gotten into. So, suffice to say, the focus is on all the number of Marvel things we’re working on. The what, where, when and how of that [Star Wars movie], I don’t know. I’m excited for The Book of Boba Fett, and the Rogue One show, and the Obi-Wan show, and Patty’s movie, and Taika’s movie. [Smiles] After Thor: Love and Thunder, of course."

In September 2019, it was announced that Feige would produce and develop a Star Wars movie with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. "We are excited about the projects Kathy and the Lucasfilm team are working on, not only in terms of Star Wars but also Indiana Jones and reaching into other parts of the company including Children of Blood and Bone with Emma Watts and Fox," then-Walt Disney Studios Chief Creative Officer Alan Horn said. "With the close of the Skywalker Saga, Kathy is pursuing a new era in Star Wars storytelling, and knowing what a die-hard fan Kevin is, it made sense for these two extraordinary producers to work on a Star Wars film together."

On Jan. 7, Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron joined the project. However, while little is known about Feige's untitled Star Wars movie, he's said to have a major actor in mind for a role.
