Natalia Tena and Bill Burr are traveling to a galaxy far, far away.
According to SlashFilm, Tena and Burr have joined The Mandalorian. Tena will portray a purple-toned Twi’lek, while Burr's character details are being keep under warps. Appearing on the The Rich Eisen Show, Burr could only say that "you can see the back of my bald head for half a second" in the trailer for the Disney+ series. Tena's Twi’lek appears in the same shot.
The comedian also spoke about how he was never a fan of Star Wars, preferring darker sci-fi films like Space Odyssey and Blade Runner instead. He even confessed to "religiously" mocking the films and those that adored them. However, after being approached by showrunner Jon Favreau, Burr agreed to be in the show, if only to amuse his fans with the irony of it all.
It is unclear how many episodes the two will appear in, although Burr indicated he will only be seen in one. Tena is best know for her role as Osha in Game of Thrones, while Burr has appeared on Breaking Bad and F Is For Family.
Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog and Nick Nolte. The series debuts Nov. 12 on Disney+, the same date as the streaming service's official launch.
