Dave Filoni has teased that another Star Wars: The Clone Wars alum could be appearing in Season 2 of Disney+'s The Mandalorian.Filoni updated his header photo on Twitter to feature artwork of fan-favorite Clone Wars characters Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex (albeit the older version of Rex seen in Star Wars Rebels). This image was originally for VIP holders at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2015.
Rosario Dawson is set to play Ahsoka in the upcoming second season of The Mandalorian, which would mark the character's first live-action portrayal in the Star Wars universe. That said, Filoni's Twitter header may be teasing that Rex will also join her. Both characters appeared in The Clone Wars and its sequel series Rebels, so them appearing side-by-side in The Mandalorian is certainly possible.
In the meantime, Ahsoka and Rex can be seen in the final season of The Clone Wars that is currently streaming on Disney+.
