Ever since Sebastian Stan rose to fame in the Captain America movies and subsequent Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances, people have noticed the striking similarities he shares with Luke Skywalker actor Mark Hamill. Fan theories and rumors have circulated casting Stan as the famous Star Wars hero, and he's now addressed them and revealed what it would take for him to take on the role.In an interview with Good Morning America, Stan said, "Well, if Mark Hamill calls me personally to tell me that he feels inclined to share this role with me, then I'll believe it. Until then, I won't believe it."RELATED: Falcon and Winter Soldier Featurette Explores Sam and Bucky's Legacies

On Twitter, Hamill posted a photo of Stan and himself side by side and added his opinion to the discussion by jokingly writing, "Sorry to disappoint you but I refuse to say 'Sebastian Stan - I AM YOUR FATHER!' (even though, in fact, I am) #SorryNotSorry #MySonSebastian"

With The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and The Mandalorian's popularity, the theories have yet to die down. In the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, there were even some who thought that it would have been appropriate to use Stan in place of the CG that was used to recreate the young Jedi.

Hamill has voiced support in the past, but as of yet there's no word on if he's personally reached out to Stan following the interview.

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series is currently streaming on Disney+.
