Fan-favorite characters from Star Wars animated series have been slowly making the jump to live-action. With plenty of new shows in development, including the full series treatment for Anakin's famous padawan, Ahsoka, it's only natural to expect more of those characters will be popping up  in these live-action adaptations.

The Book of Boba Fett has picked up on a story set up by the second season of The Mandalorian, the Star Wars live-action venture that gave audiences the first look at an in-person Ahsoka. As such, it's likely that the series will continue the tradition of transitioning favorite animated characters onto the live-action stage. But who is most likely to make the crossover?

The Infamous Bounty Hunter Cad Bane

The Bad Batch Cad Bane

As first imagined for a short arc in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the bounty hunter Cad Bane has appeared through the animated shows, even most recently in The Bad Batch. In that most recent appearance, he hunted the clone Omega, a genetic sibling to Boba Fett himself. And, as Boba Fett settles into a more administrative role, Cad Bane could bring the gritty, on-the-ground bounty hunting action.

Fellow Clone Omega from The Bad Batch

Omega, like Boba Fett, possesses the DNA of Jango Fett but without the accelerated aging component of other clones. While her exact age at the time of The Bad Batch remains unknown, she more than likely would be around and making her way in the galaxy in a post-Imperial world. Having her meet up with her genetic brother of sorts could be interesting. With more seasons of The Bad Batch yet to come, too, it's possible even that this would not be the first time she and Boba have crossed paths.

One More Clone Brother, Rex

Ahsoka and Rex reunite in Star Wars Rebels

Favorite clone Captain Rex likely survived and thrived after the fall of the Empire (he is theorized to be the white-bearded man, Nik Sant on Endor, an idea bolstered by Lucasfilm Executive Producer Dave Filoni himself). As such, he would most likely be still kicking at the time of The Book of Boba Fett. With Temuera Morrison squarely back in the game, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for him to do double duty and portray Rex himself.

The Terrifying Grand Admiral Thrawn

Thrawn on Star Wars Rebels

Though Thrawn is already confirmed to be in the upcoming Ahsoka series, it's possible audiences might get a sneak peek at this villain in live-action form ahead of time. Just as The Mandalorian kicked off Boba Fett's own return to screen ahead of his limited-run show, The Book of Boba Fett may well act as a launching pad for Thrawn's leap from animation.

The Glorious Return of Hondo Ohnaka

Hondo Ohnaka on Rebels

Smuggler, bounty hunter and loveable rogue Hondo Ohnako from both Clone Wars and Rebels will, if he does jump to live-action, most likely appear in the upcoming Obi-Wan show. As the space pirate himself once stated in Rebels: "One of my best friends was a Jedi. I'm pretty sure we were friends." He has a complicated relationship with Obi-Wan, an amalgamation of mutually begrudging respect and surprising occasional comradery, so if he does have a live-action role to play, it makes sense he would debut in the Jedi's show. But The Book of Boba Fett is here now, and a small cameo is never out of the question.
