A new book titled Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection will showcase various lightsabers from across the Star Wars universe. One of them will be the sleek, rose-tinted lightsaber Leia Organa used in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

io9 posted the pages from The Lightsaber Collection that feature Leia's lightsaber, alongside a brief history of the weapon. The lightsaber contains "elegant symmetry and silver and gold hues" meant to evoke Leia’s regal upbringing on Alderaan, and its emitter is similar to the one atop Luke's green lightsaber from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

As revealed in The Rise of Skywalker, Leia briefly underwent training with her brother Luke in order to become a Jedi. However, she abandoned the training due to a vision that foretold the death of her son Ben if she continued. Luke kept her lightsaber during his exile on Ahch-To, with Rey (Daisy Ridley) eventually wielding the weapon against her grandfather, Emperor Palpatine. Rey would later bury both Leia and Luke's lightsabers on Tatooine.

Other lightsabers in the book include those wielded by Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu and Asajj Ventress. The book will also showcase lightsabers from other Star Wars media, including The High Republic publishing initiative. Star Wars: The Lightsaber Collection is available for pre-order and will be released on Oct. 20.

Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E.
