The first poster for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" has been revealed as part of the day's events at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, FL. Daisy Ridley's Rey stands center stage, holding Luke Skywalker's lightsaber to the sky and splitting the screen between Luke's and Kylo Ren's faces. The crimson red color of the Sith looms ever so large in the poster's background.
The poster is a callback to the original poster of "A New Hope," which saw Luke Skywalker in a similar pose, except he held the lightsaber with two hands compared to Rey's one. With Luke and the First Order's Kylo Ren featured so heavily above Rey, one has to wonder if she will have to choose between the Light and Dark side of the Force.
Written and directed by Rian Johnson, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” features returning cast members Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Anthony Daniels as C-3P), Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma and Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, joined by franchise newcomers Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, and Benicio del Toro and Laura Dern in undisclosed roles. The film arrives Dec. 15.
