A deleted scene from Star Wars: The Last Jedi shows a very different ending to the battle between Finn and Captain Phasma. Ahead of the film's home release later this month, Lucasfilm dropped the deleted scene on the YouTube series The Star Wars Show.

You can check out the scene in the video below, beginning around the 1:30 mark.

The clip revisits Finn's confrontation with Phasma, only this time he questions her dedication to the First Order's goal of bringing order to the universe. He mentions how she actually betrayed the First Order back in The Force Awakens when he forced her to drop the shields at Starkiller Base, allowing the Resistance to destroy it.

This revelation causes the Stormtroopers to doubt her, which -- in turn -- causes Phasma to reveal her knack for self-preservation. She ultimately loses a hand (and possibly her life) when Finn manages to get the better of her once again.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong’o, Benicio Del Toro, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern, and the late Carrie Fisher. The film arrives March 13 on Digital HD and March 27 on Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and On-Demand.
