With loads of time on everyone’s hands due to coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, one artist has decided to give Star Wars fans the trilogy they so desperately deserve.

The Calrissian Chronicles, as artist Peter Stults dubs it on Twitter, covers the life and adventures of Billy Dee Williams’ Lando Calrissian, and there are some incredible casting choices -- with the most eye-catching being Jean-Claude Van Damme as Darth Maul.

Stults posted renderings of movie posters he made for the make-believe trilogy, complete with acting and producer credits. Their retro design and detailed imagery provide an old-school feel that screams Star Wars.

If Stults had his way, Van Damme -- the '80s and '90s action megastar -- would have played Maul in the final installment of the Calrissian Chronicles, which also features the return of Han Solo and Chewbacca. The films are imagined to take place in a post-Episode VI world. Maul was seemingly vanquished in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but made a return in the animated series’ The Clone Wars and Rebels. He was also featured in Solo: A Star Wars Story, but the appearance was brief.

Some other amazing casting choices for Calrissian Chronicles include Shirley Bassey as a droid named L3-37 and unspecified roles for Vonetta McGee, Moses Gunn and Tamara Dobson, who played Cleopatra Jones in the 1973 film of the same name.
