A previously unannounced Kylo Ren-centric Star Wars spin-off novel may have leaked thanks to a mistake by publisher Penguin Random House.Thiscaringlark on Twitter noted the description for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Black Spire, an upcoming Star Wars spin-off novel by Delilah S. Dawson, on Penguin's Australian site seemed to be for a different novel. Before later being changed, the description read, "CONFIDENTIAL AND UNANNOUNCED A stand-alone Star Wars title delving into the character of one of the biggest names in the Star Wars universe: Kylo Ren."RELATED: Star Wars: John Boyega Discusses His Post-Rise of Skywalker Plans"Kylo Ren is a relatively new character in the Star Wars universe, first making his appearance in The Force Awakens and played by Adam Driver," the preview continued. "With a complicated origin story, this book hopes to look deeper into Kylo Ren's past and reveal more of the mystery's [sic] behind the mask."

This description has since been changed to the proper one for the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge tie-in novel, indicating that what was posted probably wasn't supposed to be there. However, it's unclear how accurate that description is or if a stand-alone novel centered on Kylo Ren is actually in the works.

In response to this supposed leak, a Del Ray associate editor seemed to imply the whole thing might be fake, writing, "Lol so someone uploaded a 'book proposal leak' and then 'updated' the leak with a note that it was confidential? Lol."

It's unclear at this time if there is indeed a book fitting this description in the works. It's also unclear if this project is related to the Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker book line currently set to start releasing.

Directed and co-written by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Keri Russell, Matt Smith, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. The film arrives Dec. 20.
