"A legendary story remade for a new generation of players is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC," reads Lucasfilm Games' tweet. While Xbox players will clearly not be able to play Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake at launch, the game will likely come to Microsoft's console after a certain period of time. Sony has yet to confirm how long its console exclusivity will last.

Developed as a collaborative effort between Sony Interactive Entertainment, Aspyr Media and Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic will completely rebuild the game for modern audiences while still retaining what made the original a classic. "We’re rebuilding one of the greatest RPGs of all time for a new generation with modern tech, features, visuals and more, while maintaining the integrity of the story and characters that we’ve come to cherish," writes Ryan Treadwell, Lead producer at Aspyr Media.
