A merciless type of cyborg known as Killdroids have completely taken over a portion of No-Space and become the galaxy's greatest threat in a preview for Marvel's Star Wars #31.
Star Wars #31 comes from writer Charles Soule, artist Andrés Genolet, colorist Rachelle Rosenberg and letterer VC's Clayton Cowles. In Star Wars #30, Rebel Alliance heroes such as Luke Skywalker, Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca Amilyn Holdo and more found themselves stranded in No-Space -- a lawless portion of the galaxy ruled by a group called the Nihil. The heroes managed to escape the Killdroids and traveled to the Colony of Kezarat for refuge, where they then met the colony's leader, who is the father of a boy named Forvan.
In the preview for Star Wars #31, the leader explains how No-Space came to be occupied solely by a type of droid capable of killing anything and everything within its path. The first members of Colony of Kezarat arrived in No-Space and quickly became enemies with the Nihil. They eventually captured one of the Nihil and learned about a type of secret route that could allow people to come and go from No-Space; however, upon searching for said route, the colony only found land inhabited solely by Killdroids.
The synopsis for Star Wars #31 reads, "Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and an elite crew of Rebel heroes are lost in the farthest reaches of No-Space after a mission gone wrong. A desperate maneuver is their only chance to find a way home - but what will it cost them?"
Han Solo and Chewbacca Also Have an Ultra-Dangerous Droid
While Killdroids may pose as a major threat in Marvel's ongoing Star Wars series, Han Solo and Chewbacca also recently come into possession of a similar droid in Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca #9 (written by Marc Guggenheim and drawn by David Messina). In the series, Jabba the Hutt hired Han and Chewie to steal a mysterious urn for the price of a million credits. The two completed the task; however, they found the neural core of a terminator droid called Ajax Sigma within the urn and now must decide whether they'll hand it over to Jabba or not.
