The Star Wars Celebration was held in Chicago this weekend, and news out of the convention confirms that Katee Sackhoff will return as the voice actor of Bo-Katan Kryze in the seventh season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Bo-Katan is one of a group of Mandalorian loyalists who refused to recognize Darth Maul’s rule, and contacted Obi-Wan Kenobi for help, which led to a series of events culminating in a civil war on Mandalore. The character has also appeared in Star Wars Rebels: Heroes of Mandalore.
Katee Sackhoff is perhaps best known for her role as Kara Thrace, aka Starbuck, in the re-launch of Battlestar Galactica that premiered in 2003.
The trailer for the upcoming season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars also dropped this weekend, and its focus on fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano has created significant buzz among fans eagerly anticipating the show’s 12 new episodes.
After starting in 2008, Star Wars: The Clone Wars ran for five seasons on Cartoon Network before coming to an end in 2013. A few of the show's in-production episodes were completed and released on Netflix in 2014, and the show's upcoming revival will air alongside The Mandalorian and an untitled Cassian Andor series on Disney+.
