When Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was released in 2019, fans were surprised to see Darth Vader appear during the game's climax. Players hadn't been expecting to see the iconic villain, especially as the game felt like it was wrapping up, so this one moment has sparked reaction videos and fan discussion that continues to this day.

However, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to release soon, and some fans are wondering how the developers at Respawn are going to follow up on that big moment in the sequel. There are quite a few notable characters active around that time who could theoretically make a big appearance. Here is a quick overview of a few of the options and what each cameo might look like.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Could Appear After the Events of His Disney Show

Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) sports a cleaner costume and goggles in his solo Disney+ series.

Earlier this year, Disney+ released a limited series show called Obi-Wan Kenobi, and it's confirmed that both that show and Jedi: Survivor take place during the same year of the Star Wars timeline, 9 BBY. Although Obi-Wan's adventure in that show didn't really leave him any time to sidestep into a different major story for a bit before he went right back into solitude on Tatooine, there's nothing definitive to say that something couldn't have lured him back out again later in the year.

Obi-Wan became aware of The Path during his show, a system designed to save surviving Jedi after Order 66, and it's likely that Cal could come across The Path as well. If Cal's next adventure ends up causing trouble for the Jedi hidden along The Path, it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that Obi-Wan himself could swoop in at the last moment to save the day in a thrilling cameo.

A Second Darth Vader Cameo Would Be Hard to Get Right

Brutal Darth Vader

The developers at Respawn could try to make lightning strike in the same place twice and bring Darth Vader back again for a second big cameo. Although Darth Vader was also too busy during the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi to have a face-off with Cal, if there is a gap of a few months or so between the show and the game, it could still conceivably work in a timeline sense.

However, it is hard to see how a second Darth Vader cameo would work. The first one was such an intense, high-stakes moment that trying to do it all over again would almost inherently fail to bring that same level of tension, especially if Cal manages to escape from Vader a second time. While a second Vader showdown is possible, it would be harder for Respawn to do it right, and the developers may want to choose someone else.

Boba Fett Could Strike Fear Into Players Like Darth Vader

If the developers at Respawn are looking to recapture that same feeling of "this fight is unwinnable and Cal can only run" that Darth Vader gave in Fallen Order without damaging the stakes too much, an encounter with Boba Fett would likely be one of the most perfect options they could go with. Even without Force Powers, Boba Fett is an intimidating and powerful enemy as well as one of the most instantly recognizable characters in all of Star Wars.

By 9 BBY, Boba Fett is already a famed and powerful bounty hunter, and after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order, it's not hard to imagine that Cal and friends would have hefty bounties on them. Players could reach the end of the game as they had done in Fallen Order, thinking it was all over and that they were safe to watch the final cutscenes. Then, Boba Fett could charge in to ambush Cal, and once again, all Cal can do is escape.

Ahsoka Tano's Appearance Might Make the Most Sense

Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi

However, what could arguably be the best potential cameo to fit both the setting and tone of Jedi: Survivor would be Anakin Skywalker's former Padawan, Ahsoka Tano. Ahsoka has gained a lot of popularity since she was introduced in The Clone Wars 14 years ago, and she has had several more appearances across Star Wars, even getting a voice cameo during The Rise of Skywalker.

Ahsoka has strong ties to the Rebel Alliance during this period of time, and since Cal already helped the Alliance once on Kashyyyk during Fallen Order, it's likely that he could find himself helping them again. If Cal crosses paths with Ahsoka during some sort of mission for the Rebellion, that alone would be more than enough for many fans to experience that same level of excitement as the original Darth Vader cameo.
