Respawn Entertainment's newly released addition to the extended Star Wars universe – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – takes place five years after the implementation of Order 66, meaning the game provides some extra backstory for the events leading up to Rogue One and A New Hope.

Moreover, according to some data-mined information, the wintry planet Ilum hosts Starkiller Base, the weapon of mass destruction used to obliterate Resistance-allied planets in The Force Awakens.

Located in the Unknown Regions, Ilum served as a sacred site for Jedi during their apprenticeships around the time of the Clone Wars. A rite of passage known as the Gathering took place within the planet's Crystal Cave where Padawans harvested kyber crystals to forge their first lightsabers. However, after the fall of the Jedi Order, these same crystals were utilized to power the two Death Stars in the Skywalker Saga. Eventually, the Jedi Temple and Crystal Cave were seized and erased from the annals of Jedi history and soon, the holy planet of Ilum was desecrated and served as the prime location for Starkiller Base.

Developed by Respawn and published by Electronic Arts, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
