With the release of Andor, the Star Wars fandom is excited to finally have another show to enjoy on Disney+. In fact, Star Wars fans have several projects to look forward to. Tales of the Jedi, The Acolyte, Ahsoka, and the third season of The Mandalorian are all coming soon to the streaming service.

In the gaming world, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is coming soon as well. It is the highly anticipated sequel to the successful Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that introduced characters like Cal Kestis, Cere, and Trilla to the Star Wars universe. While fans are excitedly waiting for the game's release, there are those who wish that the video game franchise be adapted to a live-action series for Disney+.

10 Jedi: Fallen Order Used Motion Capture

Jedi: Fallen Order benefited from its use of motion capture, with the cast's facial expressions and acting coming across as realistic and genuine in animation. As a result, the move from video game to live-action series is less daunting, especially when it comes to casting.

Cameron Monaghan's pictures to promote the Cal Kestis lightsaber at Galaxy's Edge stirred conversation about how much the actor looked like his character. On top of that, Monaghan and his castmates all have impressive acting backgrounds, meaning they'd be fully prepared to join a live-action Star Wars project.

9 Jedi: Fallen Order Has A Large Fan Base

Hollywood is all about IP nowadays, even within a franchise like Star Wars. Executives have to ensure that there is a demand and an audience for any project before green-lighting it. With that in mind, Jedi: Fallen Order easily qualifies for a live-action adaptation.

The game scored a 9/10 on IGN and gained over 20 million players in less than two years. Fans eagerly await the release of the sequel and would be just as eager for a live-action series. A Fallen Order adaptation is a no-brainer from a viewership perspective.

8 Jedi: Fallen Order Can Tie In With Obi-Wan Kenobi

Jedi: Survivor has been confirmed to take place during the same year as Obi-Wan Kenobi (which takes place five years after Jedi: Fallen Order). While it is very unlikely Obi-Wan will make an appearance in Jedi: Survivor, the Disney+ series did bring the Inquisitors––the main villains in Jedi: Fallen Order––to live-action.

With the Inquisitors hunting for Jedi and Obi-Wan, there is an obvious overlap between the two stories. Having these two Jedi both dealing with the Inquisitors in live-action helps grow the Star Wars cinematic universe. Cameos wouldn't even be necessary, though fans would undoubtedly appreciate them.

7 Obi-Wan Kenobi Proved Limited Series Work For Star Wars

While there is a strong movement for a second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi, it is still considered a limited series; a contained story told over the course of a handful of episodes, unlike The Mandalorian which is heading into its third season. It's the perfect format for an adaptation of Jedi: Fallen Order.

While Lucasfilm could, and perhaps should, create more storylines surrounding Cal and his crew, a limited series adaptation allows them to tell the contained story from the game without making a huge commitment. If a live-action series performs well with audiences, it would be easy enough to make a shift and green-light a second season.

6 Star Wars Fans Are Tired Of Tatooine

It seems like Star Wars and its fans cannot escape the desert planet of Tatooine. Much like Anakin Skywalker, fans are growing to resent the planet and its sandy environment; this is mainly because it keeps showing up in every single Star Wars project. Even shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Mandalorian, where the protagonists often travel to other planets, still take place in part on Tatooine.

Cal never goes to the desert planet in Jedi: Fallen Order. Instead, he travels to and explores other planets with diverse landscapes like Dathomir and Bogano which would translate beautifully in a streaming series.

5 A BD Droid Has Already Made A Live-Action Appearance

Cal and BD-1 from Jedi: Fallen Order

The sudden appearance of a BD droid in The Book of Boba Fett has fans theorizing and wondering whether that droid was the live-action iteration of Cal's trusted friend BD-1. The beloved droid plays a huge part in Jedi: Fallen Order, unlocking crates and hacking into Imperial systems, but there had never been a live-action BD in the franchise before the game's release.

He is never referred to as BD-1, simply answering to "BD," but that hasn't stopped fans from hoping there's a connection. Of course, if the droid is BD-1 and Cal is nowhere in sight, that doesn't really bode well for the Jedi.

4 Dave Filoni Can't Resist Showing Audiences Order 66 Again

Star Wars fans can expect that if Dave Filoni is working on a project, there will undoubtedly be an Order 66 scene. Obi-Wan Kenobi fans loved the brief inclusion of Order 66 and Anakin's involvement in it. There just so happens to be an action-filled and emotionally charged Order 66 scene in Jedi: Fallen Order.

With the game taking place only five years after Revenge of the Sith, Cal has a flashback of the clones turning on him and his master. It is exactly the type of sequence Dave Filoni would love to explore and recreate, showing yet another point of view during the events of Order 66.

3 Jedi: Fallen Order's Story Is Already Written

The great thing about adaptations is that they are a source material to draw from, making the development and production of the project an easier task for those involved. Knowing how fans enjoyed the game's story makes it easy for Disney to green-light the project.

With one game already released and another on the way, there is enough lore surrounding Cal Kestis and his crew to produce at least a couple of seasons of a Disney+ series. In fact, Lucasfilm could even adapt the Jedi: Battle Scars novel written by Sam Maggs which takes place between the two games.

2 Hayden Christensen Could Return To Play Darth Vader

Darth Vader approaching Cal Kestis in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Hayden Christensen's return as Darth Vader was one of the highlights of Obi-Wan Kenobi. There is an appetite to have Christensen reprise his iconic role, especially since he did not get to play the Sith Lord for an extended period of time on screen.

While Vader's role in Jedi: Fallen Order is more of a cameo than anything else, it would make for an amazing live-action sequence. Considering Darth Vader's popularity and Christensen's love for the character, it would be a trump card for the series.

Mandolorian Encouraging Grogu To Use The Force

The Star Wars galaxy is a large and vast place, and yet the stories being told somehow always end up back with the Skywalker family. The sequel trilogy was the end to the Skywalker saga, receiving mixed reviews, while the critically acclaimed Obi-Wan Kenobi showed a chapter of the young Skywalker twins' lives.

The Mandalorian demonstrated how popular a story without the Skywalkers could be. Before Luke Skywalker's return in the season two finale, and his role in The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian garnered a large fan base without the Skywalkers. Jedi: Fallen Order could no doubt do the same.
