EA and Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is getting a next-gen release this summer.

According to StarWars.com, the new release brings "a number of technical improvements to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S console versions of the game." Those who already own the title will also receive free cross-gen upgrades.

This announcement follows a recent patch released by EA that provided significant improvements to Jedi: Fallen Order on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, including a framerate and resolution boost.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order takes place several years after the events of Revenge of the Sith. The game centers on Cal Kestis, a Jedi who slipped through the cracks during Order 66 and began working as a scrapper. However, an encounter with the Inquisitors brings him out of hiding as he embarks on a quest to take down the Empire with the help of several new friends.

Published by Electronic Arts and developed by Respawn Entertainment, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this summer.
