Having been raised by a Sith, Galen is enveloped in the dark side of the force for most of his life. However, after Vader leaves him for dead on Corellia, Galen decides to redeem himself and join the rebellion. Though she had severed her connection with the force, her abilities reemerge during a confrontation with Darth Vader. To protect Cal Kestis from the evil Sith Lord during their battle, Cere creates a powerful force shield that effectively stops Vader's lightsaber in its tracks.

Ezra Bridger, the iconic Jedi Padwan from Star Wars: Rebels, actually dueled Vader on two separate occasions. When Ezra first came face to face with Vader, he had the help of his master, Kanan, yet their combined strength was still not enough to match the Sith Lord's power.

Unfortunately for Ezra, his second confrontation with Vader was no more successful than his previous duel. Not only that, but during the battle, his lightsaber is destroyed, forcing Ezra to rebuild a new one from scratch. Thankfully, Ezra is saved by Ahsoka moments before Vader nearly kills the young Padwan.
