“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will introduce franchise fans to new characters, new ships and, yes, even new types of Stormtroopers. Thanks to Hot Toys, we now have a detailed look at the specialist Shoretroopers.

Priced at $205, the 1/6th-scale "movie accurate" figure features the attention to detail the Hong Kong-based toymaker is known for, along with such accessories as interchangeable hands, a rifle and display stand. It's expected to ship sometime between January and March, as part of Hot Toys' first wave of "Rogue One" figures.

In the film, Shoretroopers patrol the beaches and guard the bunkers of the Imperial military installations on the tropical planet Scarif, which has been featured prominently in trailers and posters. It’s interesting to note that their armor seems less plastic-like -- than that of the standard Stormotroopers, likely due to the planetary conditions. They also wear pants.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film is set just before the events of "Star Wars: A New Hope," and tells the story of a group of resistance fighters who unite for a dangerous mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.

Opening Dec. 16, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Riz Ahmed, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker.
