Last month, actor Peter Mayhew -- best known for playing Chewbacca in the Star Wars franchise -- passed away from a heart attack. In a clip from last night's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Mayhew's co-star Harrison Ford remembers his time with Mayhew.

As the clip opens, Ford goofs around with host Jimmy Fallon by wearing a fake dog nose before they start talking. After discussing the 35th anniversary of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Mark Hamill's impression of Ford on Late Night with Seth Meyers, which Ford admitted was pretty good, Fallon brings up Mayhew's death, then asks Ford what Mayhew was like.

"He was a really sweet man," Ford states, going on to discuss Mayhew's difficulties doing what he did for the cast, and how he did it with dignity and class. "He was a really neat guy," Ford says, revealing that he misses him. The clip then ends with Ford jokingly telling Fallon to get on with it after thanking him for saying something nice about Mayhew.

While he does show his more comedic side in the clip, Ford's discussion about Mayhew shows just how much he cared about the late actor as a friend, and that he truly misses Mayhew, while still remembering the time he spent with him. But while Mayhew himself is gone, the character of Chewbacca will live on for future generations of Star Wars fans, leaving behind a legacy for Mayhew.
