Director Ron Howard has at last announced the title for the Star Wars spinoff centering on a young Han Solo: Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The name will likely surprise very few people, as it mimics the format of the first anthology film, 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

The Oscar winner delivered the news this morning on Twitter in a video announcing the completion of principal photography. "Well, as we wrap up production, I just want to take this moment to thank an incredibly talented cast and crew for all their hard work," Howard says. And to the fans out there, I hope you've enjoyed the pictures I've take taken from the set of -- can we say the name of the movie?" Looking off-camera, he's handed a cue card by Chewbacca, which he turns around to reveal the title and logo.

Although fans can now refer to the film by the correct name, few concrete details are known about its story, set prior to the events of the original Star Wars trilogy.

Arriving May 25, 2018, Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, in addition to Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Woody Harrelson.
