Star Wars Veteran Mark Hamill Has Never Met His On-Screen Mother

Mark Hamill in The Last Jedi

Entertainment icon Mark Hamill has revealed a startling fact: He's never met Natalie Portman.

Posting on Twitter, Hamill revealed this odd tidbit information, indicating he's never met his on-screen canonical mother in the celebrated film franchise.

This is particularly strange because, despite not appearing in the same movie at any point in the lengthy Star Wars series, you'd think they would have crossed paths at some kind of fan event, or even a premiere for one of the recent Star Wars movies, like The Force Awakens or The Last Jedi.

However, Hamill seems to have never met Portman, which is ...kind of fitting, especially since Luke never got the chance to be introduced to his mother in the film series, due to the fact she died at childbirth. We can only hope they'll get that highly-anticipated introduction done at some point in the near future!

Available now digitally and on Blu-ray and DVD, writer/director Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Benicio Del Toro as ‘DJ’, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Laura Dern as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, and the late Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa.

Episode IX is set to arrive in theaters on December 20, 2019. The movie will star Dais
