Star Wars: Guardians of the Whills, a nod to one of George Lucas' original bits of Star Wars lore, follows the fan-favorite duo of Baze Malbus and Chirrut Îmwe from the 2016 film Star Wars: Rogue One. The story is set prior to the events of that film, however, focusing instead on Baze and Chirrut struggling to preserve the peace at the Kyber Temple on Jedha from the encroaching forces of the Empire. The manga, which was released earlier in August, is written by Jon Tsuei and illustrated by manga artist Subaru. Star Wars: Guardians of the Whills is now available in paperback and digital formats for $14.99.

Star Wars fans wanting more stylish takes on the popular franchise were also recently treated to the debut trailer for the upcoming Disney+ anime series,  Star Wars: Visions. The trailer provides a peek into the nine unique stories animated by seven different anime studios in the new anthology series which is set to premiere Sept. 22 on the streaming service.
