Guardians of the Galaxy writer/director James Gunn has shared a couple of mash-up posters in honor of Star Wars Day.
Gunn released the mash-up posters on his Twitter account earlier today with the caption, "...and May the 4th be with all of you." The first poster is a recreation of 1977's Star Wars poster in the style of the first Guardians of the Galaxy film. Putting a spin on the classic title card of the Star Wars movies, it features a tagline of "Not so long ago in a galaxy quite near by..."

The second is a recreation of 1980's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back poster, this time set in the style of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 with the tagline "Anyone can save the galaxy once...." Taking the place of Darth Vader in the background is Kurt Russell's Ego, while Chris Pratt's Peter Quill and Zoe Saldana's Gamora stand in for Han Solo and Princess Leia, respectively.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to film next year and will release in 2020. For now, catch the Guardians in Avengers: Infinity War, in theaters now. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin, among others.
