The upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge park is going to feature plenty of characters and references to the Star Wars franchise. And now, a particular Jedi has been confirmed to make an appearance in some capacity in the park.
During the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge panel at Star Wars Celebration, Disney Imagineer Chris Beatty hinted that "a small green Jedi," referring to the fan-favorite Jedi Master Yoda, will be featured in some capacity in the upcoming Disney Park extensions. On top of confirming Yoda will be making an appearance in the park, Beatty also revealed the original puppeteer/voice of Yoda, Frank Oz, has returned to record new lines for the character. Oz is just the latest cast member from the Star Wars franchise to make an appearance in the park, including Jim Cummings (as Hondo) and Paul Reubens (as DJ-R3X).
Galaxy's Edge is the newest addition to the Disney Land and Disney World theme parks. The area will allow visitors to explore the Star Wars universe and have their own tailor-made adventure in the setting.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland will open ahead of schedule on May 31, with the Galaxy's Edge featured in Disney World launching three months later on August 29.
