Disney has offered a new sneak peek at the upcoming Star: Wars Galaxy's Edge area, which is set to open next year. The video, which Walt Disney World posted on Twitter, gives a look at the park's first two rides: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance. "It's exciting to think about this as only the beginning, and to think about how this land will be living, breathing and evolving," said Carrie Beck, VP, Lucasfilm Story Group. "There's nothing actually more meaningful and more special than to provide a place for people to experience Star Wars with their family for decades to come."RELATED: Star Wars: Disneyland's Millennium Falcon is (Almost) Ready for Flight

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will transport visitors to the all-new, Outer Rim planet of Batuu, home to the Black Spire Outpost, a seedy hive of scum and villainy, similar to A New Hope’s Mos Eisley. Promised to be a fully-immersive experience, guests will be dropped into the ongoing conflict between the Resistance and First Order.
