The second season of the animated, short-form series Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures has recently launched on YouTube, with a new animated short focused on Leia Organa being the latest to debut

The new Galaxy of Adventures episode focuses on Leia's role in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, as a General to the Resistance and Jedi mentor to Rey at the beginning of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, recreating famous moments with archival audio.

Covering all three of the Sequel Trilogy films, the animated short ends with glimpses of Leia from across the Original Trilogy as a leader within the Rebel Alliance and Princess of Alderaan. Actor Carrie Fisher had passed away shortly before the wide theatrical release of 2017's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, with Rise of Skywalker filmmaker J.J. Abrams utilizing unused footage of her performance in The Force Awakens to incorporate her into Episode IX.

Galaxy of Adventures Season 2 launched with three episodes earlier this month, with the new season focused on retelling events from the Sequel Trilogy, whereas last year's inaugural season had drawn from the Original and Prequel trilogies.
