Star Wars Fan Art Imagines All-Women Knights of Ren, And It's Great

Knights of Ren

After they were first teased in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the enigmatic followers of Kylo Ren, the Knights of Ren, were conspicuous by their absence in Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi. However, some new fan art has surfaced that finally gives the Knights of Ren their due by reimaging these Dark Side disciples as Kylo Ren's own band of female furies.

i09 shared the artist Kate Sheridan's work, which includes a group shot of several Knights of Ren (Tyr Ren, Taslin Ren, Arha Ren and Voxura Ren), as well as individual breakdowns for each of them. Additionally, Sheridan created a black-and-white comic strip depicting the dynamic between Tyr and Kylo.

The Knights of Ren, of course, were the fallen group of Jedi who sided with Ben Solo after he betrayed Luke. Many expected an appearance from the Knights after Luke mentioned them to Rey when discussing Ben’s turn to the Dark Side, but — just like Snoke’s origins — Johnson dropped them from his plot, perhaps leaving the man who introduced them to the franchise, J.J. Abrams, the opportunity to use them in Episode IX.
