With principal photography wrapping on Star Wars: Episode VII in just three weeks, Lucasfilm has announced another franchise veteran has joined the sprawling cast.

Warwick Davis, who played the Ewok Wicket in Return of the Jedi and again in the television movies The Ewok Adventure and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, broke the news in a humorous video released today by the studio.

The actor, better known in recent years for his roles as Professor Flitwick and Griphook in the Harry Potter films and as a fictionalized version of himself on Life's Too Short, also played multiple characters in The Phantom Menace.

In Episode VII, the 44-year-old Davis joins follow returning cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, and newcomers John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie. The film opens Dec. 18, 2015.
