In spite of Lucasfilm's secrecy when it comes to unreleased Star Wars films, set photos for the yet-titled Episode IX have found their way online.
The photos, which were first posted by The Sun, show the characters Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) in a rural setting as they appear to be on some sort of mission for the Resistance. Finn and Poe are joined by franchise icon Chewbacca (played by Joonas Suotamo, Peter Mayhew's successor), several unnamed characters and their riding animals, as well as several crew members.
The Star Wars: Episode IX set where these photos were taken resides in an undisclosed location a few miles outside of London. Seeing as how they were clearly taken at a distance, it's safe to say these photos are not officially authorized.

Apart from what can be pieced together, these photos don't exactly tell us a great deal about what the specifics of Finn and Poe's mission are, who they're with, or how it connects to the plot of Episode IX as a whole. In any case, it's always exciting to get a little taste of what's to come for such a high-profile film, especially considering its release is still more than a year away.
Directed by JJ Abrams, Star Wars: Episode IX stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. It is scheduled to open on Dec. 20, 2019.
