WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Star Wars: Darth Vader #27, on sale now from Marvel Comics.

Star Wars: Darth Vader #27, by writer Greg Pak, artist Raffaele Ienco, colorist Carlos Lopez and letterer VC's Joe Caramagna, reveals an Iron Man-like suit for Governor Tauntaza.

In Star Wars: Darth Vader, the titular Sith Lord and Sabé launched an attack on Tauntaza, who is an operative for the Crimson Dawn. This eventually leads to a confrontation in which Tauntaza refuses to flee and instead gets in a suit of black armor. The two fight, and Vader ends up getting the best of Tauntaza, seemingly killing her in the process.

What Is Star Wars: Darth Vader?

Set between the events of 1980's Star Wars; Episode V -- The Empire Strikes Back and 1983's Star Wars: Episode VI -- Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: Darth Vader looks at the history of the titular Sith Lord that wasn't shown in the films and is considered canon. The current iteration of the series has been running since 2020.

Tauntaza is a character original to the Star Wars: Darth Vader series and worked on behalf of the Galactic Empire as governor of Gabredor III. However, she soon began consorting with the Crimson Dawn, a powerful criminal syndicate in the galaxy far, far away. That group has appeared in a number of different Lucasfilm properties, though perhaps most notably 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story, which chronicled the early adventures of a young Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich).

Vader as a character debuted in 1977's Star Wars: Episode IV -- A New Hope and served as a villain for the majority of those films, though he did experience some level of redemption in the end. The character's fall to the dark side was then chronicled in the prequel series of films, which explored how his fear of losing his wife, Padmé Amidala, drove him into the service of Sheev Palpatine.

Star Wars: Darth Vader #27 is on sale now from Marvel Comics and features a main cover from Rahzzah, with variants from Giuseppe Camuncoli and Jesus Aburtov; and Chris Sprouse, Karl Story and Rachelle Rosenberg. The next issue of the series hits shelves on Oct. 19.
