A new, audio-only story set during the Clone Wars era of Star Wars promises to give listeners new information on the early days of Count Dooku and fan favorite character Asajj Ventress.

Star Wars Dooku: Jedi Lost, an original audio novel written by Cavan Scott, was announced by StarWars.com. The novel follows Asajj Ventress, the conflicted Dathomirian Dark Jedi from Star Wars: The Clone Wars, during her days as an acolyte of Count Dooku, the Sith Lord played by Christopher Lee in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

Details regarding the plot are scarce, but Ventress is said to be on a mission to “uncover the secrets of her master” and find out why he left the Jedi Order. Whether Dooku has tasked her with this as a test, or whether Ventress is already turning on Dooku, remains to be seen.

The audio novel is narrated by Marc Thompson, with “a full cast” handling other vocal performances throughout the story.
