The 2019 D23 Expo is approaching fast, and Star Wars fans are eagerly anticipating more reveals about the future of the franchise, particularly as Disney + and its catalog of brand-new series will be launching in the US on November 12th.

Attendees will be able to see new footage of Star Wars: The Mandalorian series, of course, as well as a sneak peek at the Disney + Star Wars line-up. This year, D23’s schedule also focuses a lot on the art of park design, so fans curious about Galaxy’s Edge will have a blast.

However, it is highly unlikely that we will get a trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. If the past is any indication, the content draught for Episode IX will only end in October. But what else can fans of a Galaxy Far, Far Away hope to get from D23 this year?

One possible but not yet official announcement could be about the rumored Obi-Wan series starring Ewan McGregor; it's certainly on the tips of everyone's tongue right now. Unfortunately, however, as rumors remain uncertain about the date when the final negotiations finish, fans shouldn't hold their breath on this one particular event happening at D23.

Lucasfilm will have its own pavilion that will include a special exhibit about the evolution of the stormtrooper designs, similar to the one unveiled at Comic-Con San Diego. This should include other costumes from the Star Wars saga, as well as the brand new design of the red Sith Trooper that will appear in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. They have also arranged a family area for the youngest padawans and scoundrels, with an assortment of children-friendly activities where kids can relax and watch Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures.
