Hot off of the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, a possible new EA game has suddenly surfaced. A PlayStation Network scraper bot account announced on Twitter that "The game Maverick has been added to the european PSN!".

The image that accompanied the tweet was reminiscent of galactic dogfights, displaying images of Star Destroyers and X-Wings. The artwork left curious fans wondering if the upcoming IP might explore the franchise's many aerial and space battles. Other than mere speculation, there's little to no info on the game.

According to GameRant, Project Maverick was, at one point, a planned Star Wars game which was ultimately cancelled. Unlike its AAA contemporaries -- namely the Star Wars: Battlefront games and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order -- Maverick was said to be a "smaller, more unusual project."

In addition to Maverick, however, EA is working on a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, so fans will have plenty of Star Wars content to sink their teeth into in the coming years.

Project Maverick, if it materializes, will be available for PlayStation 4. As of yet, no release date or further details have been announced.
