Captain Rex reportedly joins the list of Star Wars: The Clone Wars alums to join the second season of The Mandalorian.
According to scooper DanielRPK, Rex will also be in The Mandalorian Season 2. If the report rings true, the clone trooper would join other Clone War castmates Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan to make the transition from animated to live-action Star Wars star.
Captain Rex was the trusted clone trooper who worked closely with Anakin Skywalker during all seven seasons of Clone Wars. He was upgraded from Captain to Commander right before he left with Ahsoka and Bo-Katan for the Siege of Mandalore, which saw the three heroes race off to apprehend Maul. The former Sith took over Mandalore earlier in the Clone Wars.
If Rex does join The Mandalorian for its sophomore season, he would join fellow Clone Wars alums Ahsoka and Bo-Katan, who will reportedly be played by Rosario Dawson and Katee Sackhoff, respectively.
