The following contains spoilers for Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca #6, on sale now from Marvel Comics.

In Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca, fans witness the galaxy's favorite Wookie recreate a violent deleted scene from the franchise.

In Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), one scene was deleted in which Unkar Plutt (Simon Pegg) finds Rey (Daisy Ridley) visiting Takondana Castle to meet with Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong'o). Rey previously worked for Unkar as a scavenger on the planet Jakku before meeting Finn (John Boyega) and the droid BB-8 (Bill Hader/Ben Schwartz), resulting in an imperial attack on the town where Unkar conducted his business. The deleted scene shows Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew/Joonas Suotamo) coming to Rey's defense and going as far as ripping one of Unkar's arms off. In Han Solo & Chewbacca #6, Chewie is shown ripping the arm off of one of his fellow inmates in prison.

Star Wars Han Solo and Chewbacca Ripping Inmates Arm Off

Why Star Wars Characters Should 'Let the Wookie Win'

The threat of Chewbacca ripping someone else's arms off has existed since Star Wars: A New Hope released in theaters back in 1977 (simply called Star Wars at the time). While aboard the Millennium Falcon, R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) plays against Chewie in a holographic game of Dejarik when the droid makes a move that causes his opponent to yell out in frustration. That is when Han Solo (Harrison Ford) gives the warning, "It's not wise to upset a Wookie," following up with, "A droid don't pull people's arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookies are known to do that."

The scene is responsible for giving Star Wars fans the iconic line spoken by C-3PO (Anthony Daniels), "Let the Wookie win."
