The Mandalorian has forged a new path for Star Wars content. The franchise has found a fresh lease of life in a new format. Rather than serialized films, Star Wars has begun to explore the lives of individual characters in television shows. The Mandalorian has given rise to The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Andor.

There are more shows prepared to join this lineup. Ahsoka is the next expected story after The Mandalorian's third season. However, some fans want more. The Star Wars universe is full of fascinating characters. Many of them are ready to helm their own show and tell their own story.

Updated 13th of March, by Isaac Williams: The Mandalorian has proved a game-changer for Star Wars. The franchise is full of follow-ups to the show, giving viewers plenty of deeper looks at some beloved characters. Nonetheless, some untouched characters would make the perfect protagonist of their own TV show.

10 General Grievous

General Grievous is infamous for underwhelming fans. He has an impressive first showing in Star Wars: Clone Wars, and then never again. All of his appearances in canon have undermined his achievements and his strengths. Grievous has an excellent design and plenty of potential, but very little has capitalized on that.

Star Wars could make this right with a General Grievous TV show. It could follow his transformation into a cyborg, his time as an apprentice to Count Dooku, or his campaigns as general of the droid army. Fans just want to see General Grievous get a chance to back up his fearsome reputation with some impressive feats.

9 Luthen Rael

Andor has been an unexpected smash hit with Star Wars audiences. Aside from its mature and gritty storyline, it benefits from a vast array of compelling side characters. Luthen Rael, in particular, has made an impression on audiences. He's a wealthy business owner who uses his resources to fight the Empire from behind closed doors.

Luthen's backstory is a mystery. It's unknown if he's just a well-connected citizen who couldn't stand by and tolerate tyranny or if there's more to his life. His iconic monologue indicates a long descent into viciousness and darkness over his long rebellion career. Many audiences would be happy to see a fraction of it.

8 Cad Bane

Beloved bounty hunter Cad Bane has actually appeared in Disney+ Star Wars content. He emerges as one of the main antagonists of The Book of Boba Fett. Bane joins the conflict for the Pyke Syndicate. In just a handful of episodes, he's able to maim popular character Cobb Vanth and almost defeat Boba Fett in a one-on-one fight. This is on top of his achievements in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Bounty hunters have always been some of Star Wars' most beloved characters. The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett have touched on them, but never adequately focused on their world. A Cad Bane series could show viewers the extent of Star Wars' criminal underworld. It's also another chance to see one of the galaxy's most fearsome warriors in action.

7 Darth Maul

Darth Maul massacring innocents in Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Darth Maul is one of the most iconic Star Wars villains ever. He makes an impressive showing in The Phantom Menace, including one of the franchise's best fights. Star Wars: The Clone Wars backs this up with several beloved arcs that flesh him out as a character. Maul also appears in Star Wars Rebels and even cameos in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Maul is one of Star Wars' best-liked characters despite his villainy. However, his story also has plenty of holes a series could fill. Fans would be happy to see Maul go from the former ruler of Mandalore to a fearsome crime lord during the Rise of the Empire or how he goes from there to a broken hermit in Star Wars Rebels.

6 C-3PX

C-3PX is an unconventional Star Wars character. He is an assassin droid built from a similar chassis to the iconic C-3PO. C-3PX begins life as a simple protocol droid. However, many upgrades from several unconventional masters see him become something more. He's one of the galaxy's best assassins despite his unusual origins.

C-3PX is strictly a character from Star Wars Legends. Nonetheless, he is just strange enough to still have some dedicated fans. Furthermore, he could be brought into the main Star Wars canon without any conflicts. The idea of a familiar droid in a very unfamiliar role could appeal to older and newer fans.

5 Starkiller

Starkiller is Darth Vader's secret apprentice from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. His role in that game's story is contentious. It involves several retcons, most notably Vader's character and the founding of the Rebel Alliance. Nonetheless, Starkiller's characterization and feats in that game have won him a wide fanbase.

A TV show surrounding Starkiller wouldn't have to adapt The Force Unleashed exactly. However, a series following an assassin personally trained by Vader has plenty of potential. Many fans would be happy to see clandestine assassinations, tense lightsaber duels, and a Star Destroyer ripped out of the air with the Force.

4 Count Dooku

Count Dooku overseeing the Geonosis arena in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones

Count Dooku is a recurring villain throughout the Star Wars prequel trilogy. However, fans never get to scratch the surface as deep as they like. He's in the shadows for well over half of Attack of the Clones and dies during Revenge of the Sith's prologue. However, many fans view Dooku as one of Star Wars' best villains.

Dooku is a regal, powerful, and impressive villain. However, it's also suggested that he has significant depth. Dooku is a former Jedi who seems to genuinely believe in some of the Separatists' ideals. His appearance in Tales of the Jedi has just made some fans want to see more of the younger Count.

3 Delta Squad

The four soldiers of Delta Squad in Star Wars: Republic Commando game

Delta Squad is one of the most celebrated clone units of all time. They're the focus of the Star Wars: Republic Commando video game and novels. They go on high-stakes missions behind enemy lines throughout the Clone Wars. Fans want to see more action from that era that isn't from the prequel films or The Clone Wars series.

However, most Disney+ series focus on the Empire's time or shortly after. A show focusing on Delta Squad could reward fans of other eras with another look at one of the galaxy's best conflicts. A Delta Squad show could overlap with The Bad Batch, but there's plenty that could separate the two.

2 Revan

Revan wielding red and purple lightsabers Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Revan is one of the best-known characters in all of Star Wars Legends. He's one of the most iconic Jedi-turned-Sith in the entire franchise. On top of that, he's beloved for his role as the protagonist of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and the shock reveal surrounding his identity.

The Old Republic is a fan-favorite era that most canon materials avoid. A Revan TV show could show the Star Wars universe in an entirely new light and avoid conflicts with any other canon materials. Revan's name alone would be enough to sell a TV show to most fans. Showing the Mandalorian Wars or his fall to the Dark Side would be gripping week after week.

1 Bo-Katan Kryze

Bo-Katan Kryze aboard Moff Gideon's cruiser in The Mandalorian

Bo-Katan Kryze has been a fixture in Star Wars television shows for years. Actress Katee Sackhoff has portrayed her in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and even in live-action in The Mandalorian. Bo-Katan has been a consistent fan favorite in each of these appearances, but she's never had a chance to be the main character.

Bo-Katan has had stories of her own, but they've always been subordinate to somebody else's. A Bo-Katan solo series could give her the time to truly shine and focus on her struggle to restore Mandalore. It could even tie in with The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, letting fans see more of the characters from those two shows.
