According to Variety, Stellan Skarsgard is in final talks to join the cast of the Cassian Andor series that is set to debut on Disney+. Skarsgard notably played Doctor Erik Selvig in Thor, The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Skarsgard is joined by actor Kyle Soller, though both of their roles have yet to be revealed.

The Cassian Andor series will focus on the Rebel spy's formative years, as he undertakes missions for the Rebel Alliance. Production on the series was well underway before being halted due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) coronavirus pandemic. The series is developed by Stephen Schiff and Tony Gilroy, the latter of whom co-wrote Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which saw Andor lead a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. All of the members of the mission perished during the raid on the planet Scarif.

Helmed by showrunner Stephen Schiff, Star Wars: Cassian Andor stars Diego Luna as the title character and Alan Tudyk as K-2S0. The series is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2021.
