One Star Wars fan has noticed a big error in The Book of Boba Fett and are apparently not too pleased about it.
Originally posted on TikTok and later making its way onto the "Star Wars Memes" Facebook group, a video shows the fan watching the third episode of the Disney+ series, simply titled "Chapter 3." Towards the end of the episode and after criticizing it as being "not the best," the fan points out that in the background of a shot, the locale of Tatooine's Mos Espa is interrupted by the set design with wooden beams in sight. The fan shares some candid thoughts and expletives on the "biggest error" from Star Wars, though it is not the first time that something like this has happened.
Other fans might remember "Jeans Guy" from The Mandalorian. No, Jeans Guy was not a character, bounty hunter, Jedi or otherwise, but a crew member wearing jeans that made it into the final cut of the Season 2 episode "Chapter 12: The Siege." Though he could originally be spotted in the background of a firefight experienced by Din Djarin, Cara Dune and Greef Karga, he has since been edited out of the quick moment after it was caught and spread online.
Whether the set design of Mos Espa will be edited out as well following this catch remains to be seen, but it does bring fans back to the meme-worthy moment from The Mandalorian, the series which allowed for The Book of Boba Fett to happen. In addition to Jeans Guy, Boba was reintroduced into the live-action Star Wars franchise in the Season 2 premiere, later assisting Din Djarin in the latter half of the season. Then, a post-credits tease for The Book of Boba Fett saw the bounty hunter kill Bib Fortuna and lay claim to Jabba the Hutt's throne, which is where fans find him now.
It is possible that fans may see elements or even characters from The Mandalorian return in the current series following a music tease in "Chapter 4" of Boba Fett. At the end of the recent episode, while no set beams appear to be in sight, Boba and Fennec Shand are discussing the need for hired "muscle" in their coming war with the Pyke Syndicate, when a version of the main theme from The Mandalorian starts playing. Whether this is just a nod to the series full of bounty hunters or indicating the return of Djarin or another prominent figure remains to be seen as well.
The Book of Boba Fett is now streaming on Disney+ with new episodes releasing on Wednesdays.
