Star Wars fans had their suspicions, and now the saga's official website has confirmed it: the stone building under construction in The Book of Boba Fett is indeed Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple.

StarWars.com recently posted a round-up of highlights from The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6, "From the Desert Comes a Stranger," and the top spot on the list goes to the temple. Describing the scene, the full listing reads, "We’ve glimpsed Luke’s storied temple in comic books and on film, although to be fair it was mostly rubble and flame in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Now, we turn back the clock to see the new Jedi school at its inception, with ant droids working hard to place every stone on the first humble hut."

As referenced on the official Star Wars website, Luke's Jedi Temple first appeared in the second installment of the Sequel Trilogy, The Last Jedi, although the fan-favorite location also featured briefly in The Force Awakens. These films revealed how a spectacular falling out between the Jedi Master and his nephew, the future Kylo Ren, led to the slaughter of Luke's pupils and the fiery destruction of the mystical training grounds.

Prior to its demolition, Luke's Jedi Temple consisted of a towering central spire surrounded by a complex of small dwellings made of wood and stone, none of which exists when The Book of Boba Fett takes place. During the show, the entire complex amounts to a single dome-like hut, with Luke's swarm of worker robots working to complete the modest structure under the supervision of his faithful droid companion, R2-D2.

Luke's Jedi Temple isn't the only callback to Star Wars history in The Book of Boba Fett. The show features several references to the Original Trilogy, from Boba Fett setting up shop in Jabba the Hutt's palace in Episode 1, to the famed bounty hunter's encounter with the fearsome Sarlacc in Episode 4. It also includes several prominent nods to the Prequel Trilogy, like a turbo-charged Naboo Starfighter -- which its new owner, Din Djarin, takes for a test drive on the same podracing circuit made famous by Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

Then there are The Book of Boba Fett's numerous references to Star Wars canon outside of the mainline films. The series sees two characters make their live-action debut: Black Krrsantan and Cad Bane. Created by writer Kieron Gillen and artist Salvador Larroca, the formidable Wookiee Black Krrsantan first appeared in the Darth Vader comic book series, while ruthless gunslinger Cad Bane was originally developed by Star Wars creator George Lucas, director Dave Filoni and writer Henry Gilroy for the Clone Wars animated series.

All seven episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are streaming now on Disney+.
