Warning: The following contains spoilers for the second episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The Book of Boba Fett star Temuera Morrison would have changed some things about the Star Wars show.

Morrison admitted that there were aspects of the Disney+ series he would've handled differently, in a recent interview with Screen Rant. "Now that I'm looking back at it, I don't know, it's just one of those things," he said. "Things are great when you look back, but there are some things I may have done a little bit different." Despite this, the Kiwi actor described getting the chance to play Boba Fett again as "phenomenal," and singled out creator Jon Favreau and his co-star Ming-Na Wen for particular praise.

Many aspects of The Book of Boba Fett proved controversial among fans, including the character arc of the show's titular protagonist from a ruthless bounty hunter to a statesmanlike crime boss. Favreau recently defended this characterization, describing Boba Fett as the Godfather of the Star Wars universe. "You think about [The Godfather's] Don Corleone," he said. "There's a tremendous amount of restraint because he knows that to be sustainable, there has to be [peace]."

The show fared somewhat better with critics, although The Book of Boba Fett's finale earned mostly negative reviews when it aired in February 2022. A common criticism was that "Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor" exemplified how much the series' narrative suffered whenever Fett himself took center stage. That said, many of the episode's detractors also acknowledged the quality of its climactic action set piece, as well as the way it served as a launchpad for future Star Wars projects.

The Book of Boba Fett's viewership figures suggest the mixed response to the Disney+ series didn't hurt the size of its audience. Data indicates the show gained more viewers week to week, ultimately racking up 885 million minutes viewed during the week its final episode was released.

Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm has publicly announced when Boba Fett will next appear on screens, or if The Book of Boba Fett will be renewed for a second season. However, Morrison himself has since returned to the Star Wars universe, making a brief appearance as a homeless clone trooper in the second episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. In an interview following the episode's release, Morrison revealed that this cameo marked the first time he's ever worn a physical suit of clone trooper armor, as these outfits were realized via CGI in the Star Wars prequels.

All seven episodes of The Book of Boba Fett are currently streaming on Disney+.
