Star Wars fans praised Bryce Dallas Howard for her recent The Book of Boba Fett episode and are now demanding she direct her own film trilogy.

Many fans took to Twitter after the episode "Chapter 5: The Return of the Mandalorian" to beg for a Bryce Dallas Howard-directed series of movies set in the Star Wars universe. They feel she has a deep understanding of the franchise's storytelling and want to see her work on the big screen. Star Wars has a certain feel to it, fans say, and Howard knows how to replicate it.

Howard received similar praise from fans after directing two episodes of The Mandalorian in 2019 and 2020. "Chapter 11: The Heiress" featured heavy Mandalorian backstory, making it clear to fans after "The Return of The Mandalorian" that the director should continue connecting dots between future Star Wars stories. Her Book of Boba Fett episode continued thematically where "The Heiress" left off, forcing Din Djarin to confront his relationship with the segment of Mandalorians who raised him.

While the series has received mixed reviews from Star Wars fans since its Dec. 29 premiere, the focus on Din in "The Return of The Mandalorian" has heightened viewers' curiosity about where the show is headed. With only two episodes left in the season, remaining directors Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau will finish what the show's former directors began.

Fans want to see Bryce Dallas Howard join the ranks of famed directors such as Thor: Love and Thunder's Taika Waititi and Wonder Woman 1984's Patty Jenkins, both set to direct future Star Wars movies. Some speculate she will return to direct another episode of Season 3 of The Mandalorian, but until the directors' list is released, fans await her Star Wars film directing debut.

The Book of Boba Fett is streaming now on Disney+.
