Marvel Comics Will Reveal Del Toro's Last Jedi Character's Backstory

Benicio Del Toro is set to debut as the enigmatic DJ in Star Wars: The Last Jedi sequel, and before audiences have the chance to learn anything about him, he's already got a Marvel Comic on the way.

There's still a lot of mystery surrounding the character, though we do know that he's an important part of a mission that brings Finn (John Boyega) and Rose (Kelly Marie Tran) to Canto Bight, a gambling resort. While we'll certainly get to know him better once the film has been released, readers will learn even more about what he was up to prior to his on-screen debut when Star Wars: The Last Jedi - DJ #1 arrives in January.

Ben Acker & Ben Blacker will write the comic, which Kev Walker will illustrate. The synopsis, which you can read below, promises to introduce readers to a day in DJ's life, offering insight into the character's actions before his theatrical arrival.
