Disney's D23 Expo hasn't just been teasing the live-action installments of Star Wars. During its Level Up live stream, the company showed off a behind-the-scenes look at Star Wars: Battlefront II's single-player campaign.
The trailer goes into more detail about the story and how it explores the idea of telling a more Imperial-centric Star Wars tale while bridging the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. The video also explores the characterizations of protagonist Iden Versio, her father Admiral Versio and Arrow star Paul Blackthorne's Gideon Hask.
Speaking about the project, Iden Versio actress Janina Gavankar says, "This is the culmination of all the things that are good in the world: video games, Star Wars and a team of people that are willing to take the time to do the work."
Arriving Nov. 17 on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC, Battlefront II introduces a new story mode that begins with the Battle of Endor and continues through the birth of the First Order. You'll play a new character, Commander Iden Versio, leader of the Galactic Empire's elite Inferno Squad, who sees victory on Endor slip from her grasp with the destruction of the second Death Star. As Iden's team sets off on "an extraordinary odyssey of revenge, betrayal and redemption," players are taken on a 30-year journey from the events of Return of the Jedi to The Force Awakens, encountering key figures from Star Wars history along the way.
